Korn will have "exciting things coming next year," promises guitarist Brian "Head" Welch

"Please let the shows happen, please," the musician pleads

Any assurance that 2021 won't be worse than 2020 is welcome, and if it depends on what guitarist Brian "Head" Welch promises on behalf of Korn , that wish won't be difficult to fulfill.

The news comes through a conversation between the artist and Beez Knotfest website's "Mosh Talks With Beez" segment , " Me and my brothers from Korn, man, it's been the best thing in my life, being back and walking through the good and bad times with them and creating art again," he shares. Head left the band in 2005, but returned in 2013 and has remained ever since.

“We have so many exciting things coming out next year, and I’m so excited for it. 2021 is going to be the year of greatness. It’s going to be so, so incredible. Please let the shows happen, please,” the musician pleads (and we agree).

When asked about the band's decision not to do live streams like other artists, Head explained that it had been discussed, but with several members' young children now at home all the time, it didn't seem sensible to leave their wives alone with such responsibilities. "I'm impressed with my brothers in Korn, they're excelling and doing schoolwork with their kids," Head said.

“Korn has been touring for 25 years,” he explains. “I left Korn for eight years and stayed home quietly. These guys are taking time to be the man of the house, to be great fathers. Who says they don’t want to do something soon, or early next year? But I’m telling you, those are the best fathers, I’m proud of them. That’s probably the reason – family first.”
